Pumpkin Patch

We had fun at the pumpkin patch aka Cornelius Nursery again this year. What a difference a year makes....check out this year's picture compared to last year. Faith is really growing up fast. Faith even got to pick out her very own pumpkin. :)

Faith was trying to crawl over the pumpkins and got stuck, so we get this lovely frustrated face.

American Heart Association Heart Walk

Hi all!

I wanted to leave a quick post to let you know that I have a team this year for the American Heart Association Heart Walk. I have been a team captain the last few years at my work. I really enjoy helping out such a worthy cause.

If anyone is interested in joining my team or giving a donation, please send me an email (eoconnor20@gmail.com) or leave me a comment and I will give you more details. The walk is Saturday, November 1st in downtown Houston.

"Hangin' Tough"

Me, Taylor & Abbe before the concert started.

NKOTB Then (don't you love the big hair??):

NKOTB Now (all grown up & looking even better):

I got to relive my childhood last week....by going to the New Kids on the Block concert. I was such a big fan starting in the 5th grade. I had all of their posters in my bedroom. Joey was my favorite and still is. They put on a great show and were on stage for a solid 2 hours playing old stuff as well as new stuff. The seats were crowded with mostly girls in their 20s and 30s, but I did see a few guys there too....I am sure unwillingly forced to come with their significant others. :) Taylor, Abbe and I had a great time!! We had tickets in the upper section, but the upper sections got blocked off, so we were moved to the lower section....pretty lucky, huh? :)

I am glad that I didn't miss seeing them in concert this time around. It was a great night of entertainment and you would be surprised that these guys still have the moves and you could tell that they were having fun out there together just like old times. Here is one of the videos I took....sorry for the shaky video, but I had to dance a little. :).

San Francisco Vacation

Keith and I had a great vacation in San Francisco and Napa Valley in early September....this post is way overdue...it was our first time on the west coast...we really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely return in the future. Here are a few pictures of some of the fun things we did and saw on our trip. The Painted Ladies a.k.a. the houses from the beginning credits of the t.v. show Full House for all you tv junkies out there. :)

This is a picture of the Golden Gate Bridge from the top of Fort Point.
Here we are about to bike across Golden Gate Bridge.

Me playing around on the cable car. :)
Here is the view as we were biking into Sausalito. It is such a pretty city....this was one of our favorite parts of the trip...biking across the Golden Gate Bridge into Sausalito.

Here is another view as we were coming into Sausalito.

Here is another view of the Golden Gate Bridge. I love how you can see the fog rolling in to the bay.

Here is Keith and I at the bottom of Lombard Street....one of the most crooked streets in the world. We walked down the street our first day there and then drove down it before we left the city to go to Napa Valley.
You can kind of see me at the bottom of the picture. This house is the Real World San Francisco house from Season 3....way back in the mid '90s....it is located on Lombard Street. Again all you tv junkies will remember the season with Puck and Pedro....

We did the night tour of Alcatraz, which was way cool.....we learned alot.
This is the entrance to Chinatown.
Here is another view of Chinatown.

We went on a food/culture tour of Chinatown and visited a few of the local temples. I thought this picture was pretty cool....these are prayers/wishes that people make when they come to the temple. We went to the Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory in Chinatown. They make the fortune cookies by hand. We were able to write down a fortune and they placed it in a cookie for us to take home. This place claims to have invented the fortune cookie. We visited the Japanese Tea Garden that is located in Golden Gate Park. It was such a pretty place to visit. The scenery was very peaceful and serene.
We went to a San Francisco 49ers game. It was their home opener, so the crowd was pretty hyped up. Unfortunately, they lost, but we are used to that with all of our Houston teams. We had great seats...and it is awesome to say that we have visited the famous Candlestick Park. :)
We had to go see the famous sea lions at Pier 39. These sea lions are just hanging out and sunbathing while tourists stand around and take pictures of them. What a relaxing life they have!We visited Muir Woods on our way to Napa Valley. Those Redwoods are so huge....it is unbelieveable. The park was so peaceful.....we even saw a few deer walking in the park.

Here a few pictures from Napa Valley. It is such a gorgeous place. We did a bus tour and went to several different wineries and learned a lot in the process.
These were just a few highlights from a our trip. As you can see we were very busy and tried to see as much as we could. I will try to post a slideshow of our pictures for those who are interested. San Francisco is a great place to visit!

We had a fun time at the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure last Saturday, along with the other 30,000+ walkers & runners. We had great weather this year....no down pour like last year. :) Faith is becoming an old pro at these 5Ks!! Keith's company had a team and had t-shirts made. Even Faith wore her Weston Solutions onesie.

"The HIGHEST of HIGHS and the LOWEST of LOWS"

What can I say about the Texans' loss on Sunday.....we had a great experience for the first 55 minutes of the game.....and then we all wished we were some place else....but Faith was sleeping her worries away...

I guess we will have to start going to the Texans games like this:

At least things can't get much worse!! (At least I hope not...)
