Copycat

Faith is so observant these days. I can't believe some of the things that she remembers. One recent story with Faith---I have been nursing Christian since he was born. The boy seems to eat all the time. We have told Faith that he is drinking mama's milk. The other day I caught Faith trying to breastfeed her baby doll. I couldn't help but smile. She hadn't been too interested when I was feeding Christian, but I guess she was taking more interest in it than I thought.

Zebra Faith

Faith likes to paint and usually she paints on paper, but this morning she decided to use another material. She started painting her hands and then moved to her belly, leg and arm. Notice the nice parellel lines in her stroke movement. Could we have a future artist on our hands?

First Trip to the Movies

I took Faith on her first trip to a movie theater today to see Toy Story 3. I wasn't sure if she was going to be able to sit still for that long, but she did a great job. She was a little scared when we walked into the dark theater, but once I gave her some popcorn, she was happy. She watched the whole movie, with only one potty break. I think she had fun, so we will definitely be back when another kid-friendly movie comes out.

After the movie, we of course had to go on the carousel, which Faith loves to do everytime we come to the mall.

Christian's 2 Month Check Up

This week Christian had his 2 month check up at the pediatrician. He was such a trooper, but hated getting his shots, which I don't blame him. I was estimating that Christian weighed 10 pounds, but he tipped the scales at 11 pounds 1.5 ounces. He is definitely plumping up ---you can see by his chubby cheeks and double chin.

Here are his 2 month stats:

Height - 23 inches (50%)

Weight - 11 lb 1.5 ounces (50%)

Head - 14 7/8 inches (5%)

Nikola's 2nd Birthday Party

Last weekend we celebrated Nikola's 2nd birthday with a Scooby Doo party. Look at the awesome cake that Jasmina made!! After cake and ice cream the kids had fun playing in the pool and burning off all of that sugar.

Goodies

Here are some goodies that coworkers made/gave me. They are so talented and generous. I can't wait for Christian to be old enough to wear his Aggie overalls. I am going to have to make Faith some new overalls, so they can wear them together.

Pool Time with the Gasparini's!

A few weeks ago the Gasparini family came over to see Christian and we spent some time at the pool. I think all of the kiddos (big and small) had a fun time in the pool.

1st Dental Visit

Last Friday, I took Faith and Christian with me to my dentist appointment. I was due for my 6 month cleaning. Faith had not been to the dentist before, but Faith's pediatrician recommended that she go for her first visit when she turned 2. I had been avoiding taking her because I didn't know how she was going to react. I ended up having to take both kiddos by myself because my mom wasn't able to come with me, so I was a little nervous at how they were going to behave while we were at the dentist. I was completely blown away! Both kids did great! Faith jumped right in the chair after I got my teeth cleaned, so she could get her teeth cleaned too. She listened to the dental hygienist and did an awesome job! I am so proud of her!!

Faith was excited to receive two tooth brushes, mouthwash, toothpaste and princess tattoos. She enjoyed getting all of the goodies.

Christian did a good job too and was patient while we were getting our teeth cleaned.

Faith's Big Girl Room

Here are the finished pictures of Faith's big girl room - complete with bedding and wall decor. The flowers are rub-ons from Stampin' Up. They look so cute and were easy to apply to the walls. I think the room turned out great and I think Faith will be happy with it for years to come.
