Nana's Birthday

We took my mom to H.B. Japanese Steakhouse in Spring last weekend for her birthday. It was so yummy....we all had a good time and Faith enjoyed watching the food being made. She enjoyed eating the rice too. We all enjoyed our lunch and the overall atmosphere. We would definitely come here again.

Here is Nana opening some of her presents.

Since my mom likes coconut, I made a coconut cream cake for her birthday cake. It turned out really well.....the recipe is a keeper...
Happy Birthday Mom/Nana!!! We love you!!

Faith's One Year Old!!

Faith turned one year old on August 5th!! The year has flown by.....we started off the day by having yogurt pancakes and then going to the doctor's office for her 12 month check up. She weighs 18# 14.5 ounces.....so we have to wait a little bit longer before we can turn the car seat around. :(

She is a happy and healthy toddler!!!

Due to cancellations and such, with the threat of Edouard, we didn't have to wait at all to see Dr. Filak.....so nice. Faith barely cried when she got her shots....I guess she liked her daddy being there with us. :)

Originally I had planned on taking Faith to the zoo, but that got nixed and then we tried the Children's Museum, but they were closed too....so we ended up going to lunch and then heading home. We did stop by a bakery that was open and got Faith her very first cupcake for later that evening....

Princess Party!! (Post 1)

Here are a few pics from Faith's Princess-themed birthday party....more to follow soon. :)

Check out that tutu!!

Bitty Bows Boutique

Who doesn't love free stuff??? I came across Bitty Bows Boutique a few months back from a blog world friend Jaclyn. I ordered Faith these bows and I have to say they are awesome! They are well made, come in a variety of colors/designs and they actually STAY in her hair and don't fall out after 5 seconds. They also got delivered so quickly which is another plus. I would highly recommend them. Check out their website and you may help me win some free bows in the process. :) Here is Faith wearing one of her cute bows....

Grandpa's 60th Birthday/O'Connor Reunion

A few weeks ago, we had a surprise 60th birthday party for Keith's dad, Art. It was held a few weeks after his actual birthday, so he wouldn't suspect anything. He is a very hard person to surprise....the party was being thought of as a O'Connor Family Reunion for everyone concerned...but we also invited a bunch of Art's friends that he knew nothing about....it took some scheming to get email addresses for his friends, but we got them.

We made the party decor a luau since Art enjoyed vacationing in Hawaii last year. He had all of Art's friends hide outside in the burning heat until he arrived....and SURPRISE!!! I think we actually got him! At least he says so. :) We had an enjoyable time meeting new friends and catching up with family. The day turned out really nice and the rain didn't come till the end of the day.

Miss Rhonda made such a beautiful cake....like she always does!!

This was my first time to make a watermelon basket....and I have to say it turned out pretty good. :)Here are most of the O'Connor's......Art even got us all t-shirts to commemorate the reunion.
