Girls' Night in Austin
My dear friend, Angie is getting married this coming Saturday (!) and she had her bachelorette party in Austin the weekend before Christmas. I made the trip up there and had lots of fun....I made the veil for Angie and a few of her other friends got the other items to make her going-out-attire complete.
We went to a few different bars in downtown Austin and had a great time!

Trimming the Christmas Tree.....
We had fun buying our Christmas tree on Saturday. This is Faith's second Christmas, but it almost feels like her first since last year she was only a little over four months old. Faith enjoys all of the lights and wants to touch EVERYTHING!! Hopefully, we will be able to control her and all of the ornaments will survive to be on the tree next year.
Christmas Card from Nana
Faith received a Christmas card from her Nana this weekend and just loves it! It makes music when you open it. I caught her on video having fun opening the card a few times. Too Sweet!!

MIX 96.5 Request-a-thon
MIX 96.5 Request-a-thon Benefiting
Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital This Friday!
On Dec. 5, turn your radio station dial to MIX 96.5 for the second annual Radio Request-a-thon to raise money in support of Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital. Listeners can tune in from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and call the radio station at 713.212.5965 to request a song to be played in exchange for a donation to the hospital. Songs normally played on the station can be requested for $25. For $75, any song outside the station’s normal format, such as rap or country, can be played. A “Fast Track” contribution of $250 gets a song straight to the top of the play list. And $1,000 buys the “Triple Play” – your favorite three songs back to back. Tell all of your friends and family members to tune in and help raise money for a great cause! Donations without song requests can be made online before or during the Radio Request-a-thon.
Money raised through the Request-a-thon on MIX 96.5 will support the development of a new Pediatric Respiratory Gym at the hospital. This innovative facility will aid in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory illnesses, which affect many children in the Houston area.
This is a very worthy cause. Please consider requesting a song and giving a donation during this holiday season.

Packages
Last night we received a package from Crate & Barrel at our door.
You might say, "Great, I love packages; who could it be from?"
But I already knew the answer. "Us."
Before you say, "Why would you have something small shipped from the store to your own house?"....We went to Crate & Barrel over the weekend to purchase a wedding present for some friends who are getting married. They live in Austin, but the wedding is in Japan, so unfortunately we won't be able to attend....but how cool would that have been, but alas not in the budget.....
Anyways, we purchased the item off of their registry, the salesclerk confirmed my information and the recipient's information and I thought we were good to go. That is until I received THEIR package on MY doorstep. The package receipt in the box had the correct shipping information, but I guess someone goofed. We called the store and thankfully they are going to ship another item to the correct address and pick up the one that got delivered to us.
What a mess......I guess I should have ordered online. :)

Heart Walk Update
Faith and I supported the American Heart Association at the Heart Walk a couple of weekends ago. We made it the entire 5 miles. The weather was perfect. I met up with some co-workers and ended up walking with a few different teams along the way since my other team members were a no-show (one was recovering from being sick, one was going to an Aggie football game (who could that be) and another had some car issues)....I ended up raising $511 for the American Heart Walk and exceeded my goal. Thank you to everyone that donated....I am still accepting donations until the end of the November for anyone who would like to donate, just leave me a comment. :)

15 Months Old!!
Faith had her 15 month check up at the doctor's today and got a few vaccinations and her flu shot....she was such a trooper and only cried for a short time. We got the examine room with a view....it was across the street from Memorial Hermann overlooking the LifeFlight helicopters. Faith got to watch a few helicopters land and take off while we were there. :)
Here are her stats:
Weight: 21.3# 25%
Height: 30 1/4 in 45%
Head: 18 1/4 in 60%
We had to go have blood drawn for a lead level and blood count check, which is something standard her doctor does at 15 months. Faith had never had blood drawn besides those horrible heel sticks in the hospital and when she was a few weeks old. I held Faith in my lap, while the phlebotomist drew her blood and another employee held Faith's arm still. She was trying her hardest to break free and get away while crying like crazy all at the same time. Luckily she got Faith's vein on the first try. Once Faith was released from my grasp, she calmed down and stopped crying.
Here is Faith pre-shots and blood draw; unaware of what is about to happen to her. Her arm is just a little bruised now from all of the squirming while her blood was being drawn. But we BOTH survived. ;)
Trick O' Treating!!
Faith had fun trick or treating for the first time this year (last year she was too little). Of course she didn't totally get the concept....."I mean we get dressed up, go to people's houses, get candy....but we can't go inside the house?? I don't get it."

Momma had to dress up to make her feel comfortable.....
