Butterflies and......Trains, Oh My!

On Good Friday, we had a family fun day at Hermann Park. We rode the new train for a little while and then we went to the Cockrell Butterfly Center at the Houston Museum of Natural Science.

I thought this was a cool looking plant....very unusual.

Focus on the beautiful butterfly and not the boy in the purple shirt. ;)

This is a walking stick....they are able to change color and camouflage themselves from predators. Pretty cool!

We went to the splash area of Hermann Park after the butterfly exhibit, but Faith wasn't in the mood to get wet like some of the other kids we saw there. I think she was tired from all of the activities of the day -- so we will have to return in the summer when it gets HOT outside for her to have some fun.
