Faith's Elmo Party Part3

We borrowed this cool waterslide for Faith's party (thanks Sanja!). All of the kiddos had fun on the slide.....especially Keith. He would take turns taking the smaller kids on the slide....over and over and over again. They all loved it, but it definitely wore Keith out. Faith has a great daddy!!

Before the waterslide fun, we played pin the Nose on Elmo!! Everyone got to try at least a few times. ;)

Faith's Elmo Party Part2

Here is the birthday girl....all dressed in her Elmo gear....including her Elmo tattoo. The party was a great success! Keith grilled the fajita meat and we had fajitas with all the fixings. We had so much food and will be eating leftovers for a week, I am sure. :) We enjoyed spending time with family and friends in celebration of Faith's second birthday. Faith actually blew out the candle all by herself. I didn't know she knew how to do that.

Faith's Elmo Party Part1

I am going to post pictures from Faith's birthday party in a few posts because I have so much I want to share. Here are pictures of some of the decorations for the party, including this AWESOME birthday cake from Miss Rhonda......she is so talented!

Here are the bucket of favors I got for the kids. I found some really cute coloring books and board books and made the Elmo tags with an Elmo stamp I got from Hobby Lobby.

Since we recently purchased our new dining room table, we still had our old one on hand too, so that helped with extra seats for the party guests. More to come....party guests & presents!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Faith!!

To start Faith's 2nd birthday off right, I made cupcakes to take to her school to share with her classmates. I then made 16 goodie bags to give out. Faith has received 3 thus far from kids at school, so I thought it was only fair to return the favor. Don't they look cute?

Keith and I let Faith open a few presents when she woke up this morning....her favorite present of the morning was her Barney doll.

We let Faith open the rest of her presents after work. She got a new stepstool for the bathroom, so she can be able to reach the sink by herself. :)

We then went to Chuck E. Cheese's for dinner. Overall, I think Faith had a fun time....just don't take her around Chuck E. Cheese....she was not a fan and was clutching on to her daddy for dear life.

PIZZA TIME!!!!!!!!!!

After dinner, we sang to Faith and let her have another cupcake (I know two cupcakes in one day, but it's her birthday....so leave me alone. ;)) She actually blew out the candle all by herself...such a big girl.
Faith is enjoying looking in the mirror on her new stepstool and being a goofball before bedtime.

Faith - we can't believe you are already two years old. Where has the time gone? It seems like just yesterday we were awaiting your arrival in the hospital. We are loving every minute and can't wait to see you continue to grow and learn and play. We love you always!
Love - Mommy & Daddy

Home Remodeling...

Keith and I finally did some home remodeling this past month. It felt like we were on Trading Spaces since we were only working on one room. Where's Vern when you need him? We (mostly Keith) painted and bought a new china cabinet and dining room table and chairs set that we both liked from Ashley furniture. We also bought a new chandelier light fixture to complete the room. What do you think? I think it looks great!! I forgot to get an actual before picture so this will have to do. The walls were the same beige/neutral color that the rest of the house is painted when it was built. Here we are in the process of painting.
Here is our old table with the walls painted completely.
....And here is the completed room. We had to turn the table this way because it is a little bit longer than our old one, but I think it looks great. I am still working on filling up the china cabinet and figuring out what I want to put in there.
Here is another view.
