BEST....MAN?

BEST......WOMAN?

BEST.....PERSON?

BEST.....SISTER?

Whatever you want to call it, my brother has asked me to be his "person" to stand next to him and witness his joining in holy matrimony with Tara. I was a little surprised, but my brother always does things his own way; against the grain; to the beat of his own drum....I wouldn't miss this opportunity to be there with him as he was there with me when I got married for anything in the world.

BUT - I am not wearing a suit....

......I still get to wear a dress.

R.I.P.

......Grimley the Aggie Garden Gnome.

We barely knew ya and want to thank you for your time watching over our house. You survived many thunderstorms and even Hurricane Ike, but you were no match for a 20 month old little girl named Faith, who likes to get her hands on everything.

Rest is Peace sweet friend.

Shelly's Birthday Dinner Celebration

We helped celebrate Shelly's birthday last weekend at Cafe Adobe. We had a great time spending time with friends and having a grown up night out. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHELLY!"
Some of the girls...:)

Some of the boys.....

Snip, Snip....Wiggle, Wiggle

Faith had her 3rd hair cut last weekend with my hair stylist, Lorna. She has gradually gotten better and doesn't squirm as much, but she still doesn't like her hair to be cut.

Singin' In The Rain.....

....with my cousin, Milan. :) ....er...make that Standin' in the Rain.

5 Year Anniversary Dinner

Keith and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary last Friday at The Melting Pot. Dinner was so good! We enjoyed spending time together and having a grown up conversation....but I think we spent a lot of the night talking about Faith. I don't think I zoomed in enough, but I am wearing some beautiful diamond earrings that Keith got me for an anniversary gift.

So Yummy!! It was some type of fruity bellini.

Here is the plate with all of the meat.

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Need I say more! We enjoyed every bit of the chocolate fondue!
P.S. ---thanks to Grannie O for picking up Faith from school and Uncle John and Aunt Jas for watching Faith. :)

Butterflies and......Trains, Oh My!

On Good Friday, we had a family fun day at Hermann Park. We rode the new train for a little while and then we went to the Cockrell Butterfly Center at the Houston Museum of Natural Science.

I thought this was a cool looking plant....very unusual.

Focus on the beautiful butterfly and not the boy in the purple shirt. ;)

This is a walking stick....they are able to change color and camouflage themselves from predators. Pretty cool!

We went to the splash area of Hermann Park after the butterfly exhibit, but Faith wasn't in the mood to get wet like some of the other kids we saw there. I think she was tired from all of the activities of the day -- so we will have to return in the summer when it gets HOT outside for her to have some fun.

Easter Lunch in Spring

We celebrated Easter Sunday at my Uncle Wayne and Aunt Carol's house in Spring. I decided to make ice cream cone cupcakes to share for Easter. I thought they turned out pretty good. Faith seemed to enjoy the treat. I just love this picture of Faith. She looks so cute!!Faith had fun hunting for more Easter eggs in the backyard. The day was so beautiful after the early afternoon thunderstorms.

Here is Faith with her new friend, Lucas.....they look cute together in pink.

Here is the cute engaged couple......only a short time from now they will be husband and wife....I can't wait to have another sister-in-law. ;)
